Exploring three incredible countries—France, Spain, and Monaco—in a single week was an ambitious task, but one I was willing to take on! From the sun-drenched streets of Nice to the artistic treasures of Barcelona and the glamour of Monte Carlo, this journey was packed with culture, scenery, and unforgettable moments.
Spend a Day With Me in the South of France
Our adventure in the south of France began with a mid-morning arrival in Nice. Landing around 11 am, we wasted no time diving into the city’s charm. After catching the tram to Old Town, we checked into our hostel, dropped our bags, and readied ourselves for an action-packed day.
Fueled by a quick lunch, our first stop was the breathtaking coast. A short hike to Colline du Château, or Castle Hill, rewarded us with panoramic views of Nice. The azure Mediterranean waters against the city’s warm terracotta rooftops were a sight to behold, leaving us awe-struck and snapping photos at every turn.
Next, the tram whisked us away to Antibes, a charming town with a rich history and vibrant atmosphere. Our main destination? The Musée Picasso. This museum holds a special place in art history as the first dedicated to Picasso, following his six-month stay in the château in 1946. Walking through its halls, we marveled at the genius of Picasso’s works, soaking in the creativity and inspiration that filled the space.
As the day drew to a close, we found ourselves in the heart of Antibes, unwinding with a glass of wine. The lively buzz of the city center set the perfect tone for our evening. Finally, we ended our day on a delicious note with dinner at Chez Jules, savoring every bite and reflecting on the beauty and culture we’d experienced.
From the stunning views of Nice to the artistic wonders of Antibes, our first day was nothing short of magical—an unforgettable start to our journey.
